Product Description

4″ Round Raised Pavement Markers by Alpine Products, Inc.

There are two reasons our 4″ Round Pavement Markers, Buttons or “Turtles” are unique from all other 4″ buttons.

  1. Most 4″ buttons are made out of ceramic. In the state of Washington, studded tires can chip, crack and damage ceramic buttons. As a result, our buttons are molded of high impact, recycled Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
  2. The marker bottoms are molded to allow the adhesive material to flow upwards into the marker cavity with a venting system to prevent air entrapment. This, along with a dull bottom are both much more efficient for adhesion.

Flat or non-treated slick bottom markers without a venting system are unacceptable.

COMPOSITION

  • Molded of high impact, recycled Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), conforming to ASTM specification DI 78868
  • Does not contain mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, nor any carcinogen, as defined by 29 CFR 1910.1200
  • Lighter shade of yellow
    • Our yellow button was the first one manufactured and sold in the state of Washington. While marker juggernauts are producing the darker shade of yellow, ours is still being used and replaced all over the state.

DIMENSIONS

  • Round Shape
  • Minimum width of 4 inches (10.16 CM)
  • Minimum height at center of 0.700 inches (1.78 CM)

These round, non-reflective pavement markers have been tested and approved by Washington, California, Nevada and Oregon State Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) for bituminous application.
